RySpirit Coloring Contest LINEWORK VERSION

The line work for the "Ry-Spirit Coloring Contest".

INFO: New contest! This time its coloring! The artwork already has some line work (I know its not perfect but it will do..), and your task is to color it and give it life! Not only can you add colors, you can also use shading, textures, reflections, backgrounds or anything you can think of to make the work even more epic!


PRIZES: The contest wouldnt be complete without prizes right? Since this is a very Ry-Spirit contest with my characters marching about, I thought I should give away something thats related to me.

• 1st Prize: THREE A3 artworks of YOUR choice of my existing gallery. As well as TWO A3 artworks of MY choice. Happy to sign them too.


• 2nd Prize: ONE A3 artwork of your choice as well as TWO A3 artworks of MY choice. Happy to sign them too.


• 3rd Prize: TWO A3 artworks of MY choice. Happy to sign them as well.


• BUT WAIT THERES MORE! The top three would be able to choose a Metroid Brain Sucker plushie or a rice ball plushie, both hand made by the lovely Hehalana. Not only that but Nabari is also donating two A3 prints to each of the top 3! Isn't that great?! But wait every contestant is also getting themselves a brand new car! No I made that car bit up, I ain't Oprah. Sorry.

DUE DATE: 11th of April 2012. Please note it down in your little pink diaries.

SUBMISSION: Upload your colored version on your page and send me a note or a message linking me to your submission.

RULES & OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF:
- CLICK the download button to download a PSD file. For a high resolution PNG file please click on the image above to enlarge it, then right click and save it. Don't accidentally save the small preview version and color that (Always work on the big file), otherwise you would be kicking yourself after when you find out there's a better quality one...
- When you submit, in the artist comment please mention that this is for Ry-Spirit's Coloring Contest.
- Color it however way you want, may it be printing it out and coloring it with copics or color pencils, may it be illustrator vector style or digital brushes with a graphic tablet. Whichever way you are most comfortable with.
- You can fix up the line work as I too agree when zoomed in it can look quite edgy and ugly.
- You do NOT have to follow my character's existing colors, eg the bear at the front is usually green and my hair is usually blue. You can choose any colors you want really. However if you really want to, you can click on this link to see how their colors look originally. [link]
- Do not add anything rude or offensive into the artwork. However you are allowed to add stuff to the artwork, be it a scouter, a hat, halo, wings, stars etc etc. Or even a background.
- When you submit your entry, I will post the little thumbnail on the contest's journal so you and other contestants can get a constant feature. HOWEVER if you do not wish your entry to be seen by others in fear that people will try to out do or copy you, you can either tell me not to put it up yet or simply just don't submit it until the due date.
- Yes you can submit more than once. However only one of your artwork would be picked to be in the top 3.
- Its due on the 11th of April 2012, make sure you submit in time. I will be picking the winners days later.

- Have fun and give respect and positive feedback for other people's entries. This is also a great opportunity to learn from others or make friends!
