Not at all.
I've never seen the movie, or read the books, but I did read a review about it that made me sick, and the comments of fans underneath it, that made me even more sick.
"Oh, it's totally fine that he abuses her in her whole life (not the sex mind you!), because he got abused too! And she changes him with the power of her love!" <- yeah, go and advice women in harmful relationships to just bear it and stay strong and love the harassing husbands, because some day they will change through your love! You will totally not end up with injuries or with a knife in your back someday, really!

....just thinking about it makes me sick again.... <.<
