Absolutely! It makes me have a better focus on what i'm doing, makes my feel motivated and "pumped" lol It keeps me in a good mood while having fun drawing(and that makes me draw for up to 8 hours without getting tired). It's always good to mix the different kinds of arts, such as music and cinema, when you're working on other type of art(drawing), somehow one helps another :D

Yep. It affects my mood, which can affect how I draw.

I listen to music everytime I draw.
To me, the melody, or the beat, or the tone in the singers voice is able to open up my creative mind, which is able to help me think of what to draw next.

Music is very motivating for me...I have to listen to it while I do school work because otherwise I can't concentrate! :XD: It just really sucks when it motivates me TOO much and my mind starts wandering elsewhere...

actually, i think a song can influence WHAT you're drawing and not HOW you do it. If you're listening some sad song, you'll end up being emotional in your drawing, as well as you can end up with colorful inspirations if the song is fresh, see ?
But i doesn't affect the way you draw i think. well, it doesn't for me (and i can work on my homework and listen to music at the same time so i dont know if i'm good to take as an example lol)

I really just need background noise or I get distracted... Which seems sort of backwards but really isn't :D after I get into making something I usually don't care either way because I get so absorbed with what I am doing.

It distracts me. Or it has to be really only mood music.

For this part, Igot 2 distictive opinons: The opinion of my teachers and my own.

One of my Art techers told us that if we listen to mucis while drawing or animating, we start to draw roboticaly and less correct as we listen to music. It disrupts the natural rhythem of our art and our creativity.

Now on my on point of view, I find soem types of music to be stimulating keeping my attention drawn to what I am doing. That may be because I'm diagnosed as ADD and the extra stimulation actualy helps my mind cope. I also find It soothing and isa wonderful way to block out the outside world, which for me makes it easier to concentrate on what I am doing.
It doesint improve the works per say, but it allows me to have the patience to do so. When in the college classroom , I liek it when people talk and chatter for the same reason. Hell, if it wasint for the music I loop I do not think I would be able to do those 20-75 frame animations at all... It is so stressful.
Maybe once I grow up, I'll change my views on this, but as of now, I say, use music if it helps you, but also try without and see if it does anything for you. It can't hurt ^^.

It doesn't improve my art, but sure does improve my attention span and give me inspiration.
