Yeah, I get what he is saying. I'm just saying that if my life was a book it would have multiple main characters. All of them being the people I care about most, but the book doesn't say that no one else is unimportant. If that makes sense. I guess that would make me the absolute main character though.

I'm the main character of MY own life. Everyone is the main character of his/her own personal life. There is no other option.
But I'm not the main character of the story of my social group, friends, surroundings etc. There are people who are more suitable for that position than me.
