Not necessarily good games, but definitely games that I spent hours and hours and hours on. Sometimes due to how fun the game is, sometimes because its the only game I have that I can play. Below are my top 10. All with funny stories attached to them. Feel free to borrow this idea and write your own journal. Or tell me what your top 10 are in the comments below.

10. Golden Eye
Golden Eye for the 64. Once again I gotta mention how I joined a coloring competition in the newspaper and won myself a Nintendo 64 *cough cough*, The 64 boosted my confidence in pursuing a career in art... no actually let me rephrase, the 64 boosted my confidence in becoming a gamer and to do as little work as possible in school, yup thats more accurate. Me and my friends used to play this game so much now days I need to play my FPS games on invert, our favourite way of playing was 'slappers only' where we don't use weapons, then all go into a cubicle in the facility level and slap each other crazy. no homo.

9. Wii Sports (Particularly Wii Golf)
Everytime my mates come over for a Wii, it would always be trying some new games then eventually going back to the classic. Wii Sports! In particular the Wii Golf. That game rocks. Can't believe Wii Sports came out in 2006 and we are still playing it everytime they come over. But seriously thought Wii Golf is so simple yet so complex, you need to look at the wind, your strength, your positioning. And if you want to be strategic you need to pay close attention to how your friend played their shots to determine how you want to play. Serious business!

8. Initial D Arcade Stage Version 2
I've spent so much pocket money on the game man.. Initial D Arcade Stage. This was like back in 2002 or 2003 when I first saw the Initial D machine in a local arcade, I've been watching the anime for a while already ok? I watched it in chinese before it got subtitled son! XD So when I saw the arcade at the local, me and my friend IMMEDIATELY jumped on for a race! I still remember picking a Lancer Evolution VI because at the time I was really into Rally Racing cars, my friend picked an RX-7. I lost. :'I He was a natural at driving game for sure. Well this pushed me to purchase an Initial D card. What happened was that you have a card that you can save records and upgrade your car and stuff, so I picked what everyone said was OP and chose the Honda Integra. I felt cheap and dirty cos I picked a car that I didn't like, I picked it to win. So when Version 2 came out like months after, I switched to the Mazda RX-7 Spirit R! Yes I chose Spirit R for obvious reason XD Cos it looks like R Spirit hehe. And blew a load of money on that card... upgrading the car, trying to beat people's record. Trying to verse random people, it was addictive ok? The game was so popular there was always a line for it and if you beat someone, you get an extra turn, so if you are good, you can just put in $2 and have people verse you all day! And versing random is pretty interesting too, sometimes you race someone and you guys don't talk at all, they lose they leave, no words were exchanged. But sometimes people get friendly and they talk to you and even shake your hand thanking you for a good match. I had times when a guy lost and he punched the wheel and walked away from the machine swearing, he was so pissed he didn't even take his card.

7. Dragon EGG!
You have never heard of this game before I know! But this was during the time when I still wore nappies. This game was on the Turbografx, you probably never heard of that either. But anyway my aunty bought the console and our family which included my grandma played this game heaps. My Grandma would play the Majong game, my cousin would play China Warrior (Which I later got as a downloadable on the Wii) and I played Dragon EGG! Its a platform game where you control a little girl who has a dragon as her pet. The dragon starts off as an egg and all you could do was wack enemies with the egg, then as you progress and collect items the egg would grow into a baby egg that can breath fire, then it would grow into a dragon that she ride and hover a bit, then the final stage the dragon becomes unstoppable with its amazing fire power. This game was fun as hell. And since it was one of the few games at the time and I had nothing to do, I had no choice but to play it non stop. You can find the gameplay here if interested. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgBDav…

6. Smash Brothers 64 and Brawl
Yup, loved the 64 one and Wii one. I never owned a Gamecube so I never got to play it properly until i borrowed it from a friend years later. I was always Pikachu. He's my main guy and I am awesome with him. Again, countless hours playing the shit out of the game.

5. Metal Gear Solid 2 in Japanese
I don't speak Japanese, but the Japanese Metal Gear Solid 2 was the only game I had on the PS2 for quite a long time... I played the game for like half a year at least before I got my second game Kingdom Hearts. I finished the game so many times without understanding the plot TvT' , I eventually did my research and found out the plot was what made the series so great.. I got to a stage where I could finish the game in less than 4 hours. So naturally this is my favourite Metal Gear Game no doubt.

4. Crash Bandicoot 2, 3, CTR
This game was the shit! 3D platforming fun gallore. I used to go to my auntie's place for sleepover a lot, I would spend days playing the playstation. Crash Bandicoot was my favourite game, I have full completion for Crash 2, 3 and even CTR. CTR wasn't even a typical platforming game, its a kart racing game but I still felt the urge to complete it 100% because it was Crash Bandicoot. Then you know the story... the company Naughty Dogs sold the rights to other company and the games just sucked...

3. Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Emerald, Diamond, Platinum, Black, Black 2, Snap, Pinball, Trozei, Dungeon.
You knew Pokemon was gonna appear sooner or later... This game has taken over my life, those monsters infiltrated my life in primary school all the way to high school all the way to college all the way to now, I wouldn't be surprise if my funeral song is the Pokemon theme song.

2. Lonely Party 8
Also known as Mario Party 8, lol thats what happens when your friend and you only have a few games we both like. Well me and Dave loved Mario Party 8... like so so much. Like we know every minigame and board by heart lol. I mean even when I am by myself I would sometimes play Mario Party 8 to kill time.. I also have Lonely Party 9 that I also enjoy but not as much as 8 because 8 is more strategic and less random.

1. MSN Minesweeper Flags
During the prime time of msn, I used to play this game a lot with everyone. I also had my little tricks to prevent me from opening a big space for people to score points, I was like the king of the game, I kid you not I had over 1000 wins and like 50 losses. This game was SOOO much fun I swear. So its kinda sad how they would close msn soon.. why can't skype have Minesweeper flags? :(

So thats it! These are the games that has taken up most of my productive time in my life. But time well spent because they brought me joy and happiness and even creativity! At least thats what I keep telling myself anyways. Are there any games I am playing a shitload out of now? Well it seems to me that Sonic All Star Racing Transformed might be one of them, that is unless Wii U has more games coming out soon..
