Hi there Ryceballs, its story time again. So come over and sit on papa Ry's lap, this will be fun. I'm gonna be talking about how I used to skip school to go home and play videogames, I used to do this a lot. Now before I begin I just gota say.... kids DO NOT skip school, get those grades cos you'll need them in the future! My grades at school were terrible, for good reasons too.. like this whole truanting deal for one. Im REALLY lucky that I am still alive today I swear. SO DON'T FOLLOW WHAT I DID, Im bad influence ok. Got that? GOOD

You know, the cool kids would skip school to bring their hot girlfriend home for some hardcore snogging. While kids like me would skip school, then go home to spend time rescuing Princess Zelda. My parents were really strict though, I was only allowed to play my 64 on the weekend and only an hour per weekday, I always wondered if they were actually Ganondorf's minions. Yo the princess needs to be saved wat r u doing?! What wins is that I lived very close to the school too, like 3 minutes walk. I was one of the luckier kids to finish watching Pokemon before heading out in the morning, some of my friends would always miss the last 10 minutes of an episode and I would always spoil it for them, telling them that Team Rocket got blasted off again, I was such a douche. Anyways living so close to the school just made this whole sneaky adventure so much easier. Should I sit through 2 hours of Mr Arblaster talking about how Sine Cosine Tangent forms a door stopper? Or should I go home and worry about the three triangles that actually matters? The Power Wisdom Courage one. HMMMMMM HARD TO DECIDE INDEEED!

Sometimes I would sneak home with friends, since I lived so close, my house was like the gaming hangout place to go to. So I would pretend to go to school in the morning, maybe hang around school a little bit, then when I know my parents are out to work. Me and my friends would go on an espionage mission, avoiding detection from teachers. It was like Metal Gear in real life, that was part of the fun! Then when we reach our house I would just pray to God I have my keys with me, cos my brain is a potato and very often I would forget to bring my house keys. If all goes well, Smash Brothers Final Destination no items lets go! I would say my house officially became the gaming hideout when a Japanese exchange student came over to game with us, I remembered his name was Tomo (He's probably still called Tomo now by the way). See me and my friends has heard about these mystical Asian creatures in the mysterious land of Japan before, we have seen them in movies, we have read about them in japanese manga, we know they are responsible for 80% of the gaming industry, so to meet an actual Japanese in real life was kinda like a big deal.. and to have him in MY house playing my japanese version of Kingdom Hearts was kinda surreal, since I can't read Japanese I was able to ask him what the hell the plot of Kingdom Hearts was about. But then again its Kingdom Hearts, no one understands what the hell the plot is about. It was pretty funny me and my friends were so fascinated by Japanese cultures that we would keep a very close eye on whatever he does, like Tomo took off his school uniform and just played games in his undershirt and we'll be like "Oh wow is this what Japanese people do when they play videogames? Amazing.." and then Tomo would take out an eyedropper to relax his eyes and we'll be like "Oh wow is this what Japanese people do? That is so cool". LOL we were so lame. But yeah since then I never had a Japanese person stepping into the house again.

Just one more short story before we end this. You might've heard me mentioned how I've never finished Majora's Mask, ok here's what happened. One time I sneaked home again for some hardcore Zelda, my parents were off to work as usual. And since the console is in their room its always very risky, I had to make sure everything looks the way it was, I would turn the volume down to mininum just in case, and Zelda was one of those annoying games where if you pause it the game volume would just lower by a bit instead of complete silence. Do you realise that most games now days if you pause it, the whole background music stops? Its so that kids can watch out for if their parents came home early (True fact). So anyway I was gaming away, I spent like so freakin long on the Water Temple, I was so frustrated with that level but I finally reached the final boss, I remember landing the final strike on the son of a bitch, then perfect timing I hear the garage door opening. My dad just had to came home early from work at THAT moment, I was sweating, on the inside of my body. I knew I couldn't just turn off the console as I would have to do the whole bloody dungeon again, Majora's mask had a really annoying save system, you would need to go all the way to the entrance of the dungeon and save the game on the owl statue instead of the usual pause and save (Who knows what they were thinking). I remember at that point I had to make a decision, either be ballsy and get caught on purpose so I can at least save the game, OR just turn it off completely and hide in the closet.. I ended up being a Cucco and turned it off. That night I went back to the game and sure enough, I had to redo the whole freakin level again... I was so pissed off I just couldn't do it. I just threw my controller in the air along with my white towel and never went back to Majora's Mask ever again because of that incident.

Good times though, my grades did die however.. but then again I don't think if I stayed in school it would've made a difference. It all came down to how interested I am in the subject, and very often Im not interested at all. XD And mind you this is a school where even the TEACHERS would skip class. But seriously though do not skip school, play your games responsibly kids! Ry-Spirit cares.

Wow lol, I did this too back in middle school XD. I didn't do it too often though. I would pretend to go to my bus stop early morning for school. Go the other way and wander in the neighborhood next to us until I knew everyone in my house was gone for work. I went back home, relaxed and played with my brother's video games. .//Hack Liminality, Dance Dance Revolution, Capcom vs SNK2, etc, go on the internet and play Gaiaonline, search for anime clips and music, and download gameboy advance emulator roms and play play play. In the afternoon, I would leave the house and waited til my older brother got back home from highschool first and casually come back home after that time. :D great story Ry, I'm glad to know some of us relate.
