I was chatting with my aunty and her gf the other day. They told me stories about the young baby Ry-Spirit. When Ry had no pubic hair, when Ry couldn't form a sentence together properly, when all Ry did all day was draw and play with toys... Actually you know what? Ry of today is pretty much the same so no changes there. But anyway, there was ONE thing that was different and caught me by surprise when they told me, they told me that baby Ry had a fear of ugly people. I was like seriously? WHAT?

Above is a photo of me as a baby after I saw an ugly person. I was fascinated by this statement they claimed, so they told me there was a time when they took me out to meet their school friends, I got along with everyone of them, laughing and having fun with them, except for one person, I got scared and cried everytime I saw him. It was a mystery as to why I was like that to him... and they have concluded that it might be because he's ugly. And yeah I know its rude to define who's ugly and who's not, but they told me if you see that guy... You will understand the definition of the word ugly, he was the walking encyclopedia of the term ugly ok? Then there were other times when similar situation would occur when I see an ugly person and I start crying. My mum told me when I watched The Little Mermaid I cried when I saw Ursula in her octopus form. My other aunty took me to the cinemas to watch Tim Burton's Batman, it was my first time watching a movie in the cinema and as soon as Jack Nicolson's Joker appeared, I started to burst into tears. OKOK with Ursula and Joker it can be an exception because they were more on the lines of monster looking rather than human looking but still.

But I don't actually remember being frightened of ugly people, and Im glad I grew out of this fear as well. Can you imagine if I still have this fear today? Life could be difficult to me! lol I'll tell people I have a fear of ugly people and they'll just tell me its not a fear, and that I'm just a mean discriminating bastard. But when I was a baby I'm pretty sure it was a genuine fear. Do you Ryceballs have any fears when you were little? Or perhaps even now?

I have a genuine fear and phobia of ants.
Yes, these small creatures "that are totally harmless and are so much smaller and weaker".

When I was a little kid, I spent my time in our living room one afternoon while my father watched TV. He eventually watched a movie called "Attack of the Killer Ants", which was rated for 18+ (but since it was the afternoon, it was probably a cut 16+ version). I didn't cared much for it, but there was one scene that scared me and marked me forever.
See, this group of survivors crossed a river in their escape of the ants. They placed one man behind to stand guard and to warn them, if the ants are actually finding a way across the river.
This man was rather fat too.
He fell asleep and didn't noticed that the ants used the leafs of a nearby tree to cross the river with like with a boat.
On the other side, they started eating this person. There was no blood to see or anything, he basically just woke up at some point, screamed frantically, fell into the river and was dead.

This scene, as laughable bad as it is, set the fear in me that if an insect is light enough for you not to feel it on your skin - who knows how many there are, and where they crawl towards.
It was still endurable though, it wasn't focused so much on ants and it was more a certain disliking, that grew with the years.
But then I saw a documentation of ants who're so aggressive and hunt in such masses, that they can easily bring down animals the size of a deer and even humans, if the human doesn't pay attention.
And then it was over. I can't stand any ant anymore. It's this slight fear that I had under my skin that suddenly became awfully real and true...
When I face an ant, even on TV in a documentation, I freeze, I start to get cold sweat and I'm scared to the bones. It's the only animal I can kill without a second thought (next to ticks obviously) and that I kill on sight.
It's a little bit better outside, but I still keep an eye on them, are extremely distrustful and when they increase in numbers, I go away. No way you could bring me to pass by an ants hill.

Watching Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull didn't helped btw! >.<
