Cannot draw while lying on the bed

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 18, 2012, 5:09 AM

I cannot draw while lying on the bed I realised.. there are many times when I would think I can just lie down on my comfy bed with the heater blanket turned on all warm and cozy and bring out my laptop and start drawing, 5 minutes in I fall asleep :I  Dang it. Its so annoying when I needed to draw I need to sit properly on a chair in front of a table (With at least 1.5 meters radius around me as well). Mmmm so boys and girls im wondering can you guys draw on the bed? Do you have any special preferences or needs while you draw? Or are you the crazy type who can draw while standing up or at a weird angle or doing back flips or while your taking a dump? (Come on, where are you toilet artists? I know your out there)

And the thing is I really wanna draw on the bed, its so comfy there... eventhough its difficult to draw with the laptop burning your crotch... but its still the most comfortable way of drawing.. probably too comfortable thats why I dose off.

I almost always draw in my room, and therefore almost always in my bed. BUT, I am actually one of the ones who occasionally, as you put it, draws while taking a dump! :XD: Indeed, I am a toilet artist!! Sadly though, being a sketch artist, most of my drawings are just random doodles that I don't keep, and those that I do I haven't been able to upload because I have a different printer/scanner now (did I mention I'm a traditional artist?) and it doesn't have the "restore faded lighting" effect that the old one did, so if I want to upload anything I gotta go ALL the way downstairs

Lol, whoops...but anyway, gotta go ALL THE WAY downstairs to use the scanner, and somebody's almost ALWAYS using that computer, so I almost never get a chance to!!

I prefer to draw in a table with good temperature most of the time, but because I live in a tropical place (Puerto Rico) is usually quite difficult. When is hot my hands sweat so you can imagine my pencil sketches. When I was in a cooler place I used to draw almost everyday... so is weird but sometimes temperature affect my muse. I need space too, and no one around to ask me questions about the art, maybe one or 2, but not more. Finally I need a scanner, if is good enough to show it to the world in my perspective. ^_^

if i have to draw i must be at least 3 or 4 feet higher than the it the god vision...

i usually draw on my bed but the drawing usually turn out all weird.
Drawing on my bed? Sure! It's WAY more comfortable and warm but if I'm serious about a drawing I'll do it on my desk...

I've found that when I draw in bed I draw everything at a weird angle... Like it'll look perfectly fine while I draw it, but then I'll get up or sit up & find that it's all distorted & stretched out, and usually leaning to one side. <___>

Same here.
I always try many ways to draw comfortably
on the bed... so far the best way is surrounding
myself with pillows to hold me straight xD
By the way, it's not good to put the
laptop near sensitive areas if you know what
i mean, always put the laptop on a surface for it
to breath, the sheets wont let it.
i draw in my sketchbook(s) while laying on the bed. i mean like stomach-down.

I used to only draw in bed. But my bed was never super comfy. lol I have a better bed now, but most of my art is digital and I don't have a laptop. So the only things I draw in bed are in my sketch book.
I draw on my bed but only cause my setup sucks atm. I think I'm getting used to it even though it does get too comfortable at times.
