Click link to see the countdown clock! You know they are serious if they post a countdown clock! Ok apparently in roughly 7.5 hours later (from when I post this journal) there will be a big Pokemon announcement. I am looking forward to it, I have been waiting for it since a few days ago, speculating with fans and crossing our fingers for a Pokemon Snap U. But this is it! We will find out VERY SOON. I will edit this journal after the news is revealed to see what the hell it actually is. So yeah lets speculate a bit more and lets hands in hands welcome this Pokemon news together. (Hands in hands is optional)
EDIT: Every country has a different countdown clock apparently... its all based on THEIR time zone, this is the first time I see a countdown clock event where every country is different. LOL what the hell. THis is messed up... did they think each country is like the pokemon region? With no internet? And no one knows wats going on in other regions :I anyway on my clock in australia it says 25 minutes left. while countries like malaysia has 3 hours left and america with a whopping 16 hours. Come on GameFreaks for real? I'll see what happens when MY countdown clock ends.
OK the countdown clock wasn't accurate at all. Like when before they played the stream, in America they still have like 15 hours to go on the countdown clock lol. HOWEVER I did get to catch the live stream of the announcement. Funny thing was my crappy internet prevented me from watching livestream videos (Its capped at the moment TvT"), but somehow Skype video calls worked. So I skyped with my friend m-kins then have her hold her 2nd monitor in front of her webcam to let me watch the video live LOL. Its the funniest way of watching the video ever, anyway big thanks to her I was able to catch it live along with everyone, thanks darling!
NOW THE MEAT OF THE JOURNAL. WHAT THE HELL DID THEY REVEAL IN THIS EPIC BIG NEWS THEY EVEN MADE A COUNTDOWN CLOCK THAT WASN'T ACCURATE FOR? We thought it was maybe a new Eeveelution, maybe remake of Ruby Sapphire? Some guessed it might be a new generation, but many say its too soon for an annoucement of a new gen game. Well guess what? Its happening, GEN VI has been revealed. <b.Pokemon X and Y. With new starters in the videos too!</b> Very exciting stuff! The game will also be coming out everywhere in the world at the SAME TIME, no more Japan getting it before us baby! The game is coming out in October this year, so still a while to wait... but still! You can watch the video below for the full experience!
Im loving that fire fox pokemon, Mmmmm maybe it is time for another Pokemon Month in the future I dunno! Today has been a good day.
ok wat we got so far, from highest possibility to lowest possibility. -New Eeveelution (Possibly poison) -3DS game -Wii U game -Meloetta reveal (how exciting T.T") -Remake of Ruby Sapphire -New gen (highly unlikely) -Pokemon Snap U (Super highly ultra unlikely)
Somehow i feel as though the announcement is either not going to affect me or be disappointing, but the former will surely overshadow the latter. Here's 2 things that would be cool:
1. Gen 3 Remake or New Gen 3-Esque game. While i realise Gen is the most hated of them and Gen 1 and 5 are the favoured, I liked Gen 3's overall theme! Sure the Bug Pokemon sucked rotten poultry ovules and the training kinda became a slow grind at 35+, as a complete package it had alot of charm to it, the soundtrack, the nicely themed towns and even the gym leaders with their awkward personalities and silly names.
2. A new Pokemon with a new combat system! Remember how some time back they announced Pokemon Conquest? I was kinda hyped for that until i saw the combat system... From the initial artwork and stuff i saw, I thought it was gonna be like a hack n slash pokemon game, where both trainer and pokemon utilize their skills to defeat their opponents, trainers using pokemon types as buffs and the pokemon attacks adding an extra dash excitement and strategy to the combat. While this idea does seem really far-fetched and uber different from the normal pokemon combat and gameplay, i feel as though the series is stagnating, constantly recycling the same story in different regions (you being a trainer starting out in the region, you recieve and you rival du jour receives on that can kick yours' ass, battle the same gym leader types, some mega evil corp plotting to destroy/resurrect/clone/mistreat some ancient pokemon or all pokemon in general blah blah blah). Gen 3 felt so nice for me because it was kinda a big leap from the Kanto and Jhoto regions with a holiday feel on a new console and all, while Diamond/Pearl felt kinda lacking something, still good though, Black/White's new batch of 600+ didn't really fix Gen 4's "missing charm" it was a huge leap yes, but not what i was looking for...
I guess most people like Pokemon 'cause of the whole collection aspect, but i like it for it's progression. Starting off as a newbie and slowly getting stronger to the point where you take on the Champion, while simultaneously saving the world along the way. Also while the silent protagonist thing helps us project our own character in there, i kinda want my trainer to talk, make conversation and reply to requests, like for example after you've spent 30 mins-1 hour slowly making your way through tall grass filled routes, defeating all those obnoxious Rangers who manage to defeat half your team and leave your main pokemon weakened and JUST when you think your about to reach the city unmolested, your rival shows up, stopping your tracks and challenging you to a "how ya doing? everything okay?" fight, it'd be nice to tell her: "Yes May, I'm fine. No my pokemon are not well, theyre dead and/or dying and i would like to heal them, so would you kindly f**k off!"
TL;DR Gen 3 remake would be nice or a game with a new combat system, also i'd like my character to talk and be able to refuse my stupid rival's poorly timed battle requests.
Pokemon Snap, pleaaaaase haha I know that we all want it so much that Nintendo will probably fail to think of it entirely XD But Ruby/Sapphire remakes are good, as would Pokemon Grey if it has enough changes to it, but I don't want anymore spin offs, I didn't even try Rumble, there's no incentive to pour hours into a game like that for me anyway... and no more apps or things like the pokedex pro, it's a cute little thing but costs quite a bit considering I can google the information or read one of the many, many guidebooks and pocket pokedex books XD Surely they wouldn't make such a big announcement just for once those sorts of things, surely?
I'm a pretty big fan of Pokémon right now, and to be honest, even if it isn't a new Pokémon Snap, heck, even if it's not a Ruby/Sapphire remake, ( because clearly it's possibly it'll be that >_<; ) I'm looking forward to it. Because it's got to be good even so. :L
When I first laid my hands on the Wii U, I knew this was Nintendo's chance for a new Pokemon Snap. It's absolutely perfect for it. I've waited this long Nintendo, give us a new Snap already. Seriously.
