The good old Days by Ry-Spirit The good old Days by Ry-Spirit
In celebration of Pokemon Red and Green's 17th Anniversary, I have decided to draw this adoRyble artwork featuring Red and Green playing their own game on the classic grey Gameboy (I still have mine :'D ), I kinda wanted to show the two rival's friendship before they went on the Pokemon journey, before they got their first Pokemon. Anyways enjoy this artwork. Ry loves you all.

I was asking :iconomuuu: what I can add to this picture to make it more interesting and she said "Red should be on the bed too" :I Thanks for that!
But seriously though thanks *omuuu for motivating me with this artwork. It really pushed me heaps. Without her this artwork may have never seen the light of day.. TvT" for real yo!

ALSO IF YOU ARE GONNA 9GAG THIS OR SHARE THIS ANYWHERE ELSE, PLEASE CREDIT THE ARTIST. PUT A LINK TO MY DA OR FB OR TUMBLR OR WHATEVER OK? Thanks!

Wasn't the rival called Blue and not Green? at least my first Game Boy pokemon games were red and blue, with the yellow as extra... had no green :(

In Japan, there's a Pokémon spin-off anime called "Pocket Monster: Origins" which follows the story of the regular Pokémon trainer "Red" and in the anime the rival's name is "Green". "Blue" in the anime is the female player character you can play as in the Gameboy Advance versions of Red and Green.

Basically, the names here goes by the anime adaption of the Gameboy Advance versions of Red and Green. =)
