Shinji Eva-01

A fan art of Shinji and Eva-01 of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Can I just say... The amount of time spent drawing Eva's face is longer than me drawing 10 human characters. It took me SO long just to get everything right, I am very new to drawing robots and this certainly was a great challenge.

So Evangelion, I love the back stories about the Evas and the Angels and absolutely LOVE the design of the mechs and the monsters. The plot is very creative and kinda makes you think about life and human psychology and etc etc bla bla bla. One thing I got a problem with though.. the characters. I really dislike all three of the main cast.. :I They all have things about them that I just don't find very likable. Shinji needs to grow a pair, Asuka is an annoying b*tch and Rei is just boring as heck. With that said I can understand what the director is trying to do with these characters and showing their emotion and struggle that way... so yeah.... Anyways I hope you enjoy this fan art! More evangelion fan art coming up.
